The Thomas Jefferson EMS Council (TJEMS), located at 400 Martha Jefferson Drive, is promoting the theme, “No Agency Left Behind” during this year’s EMS Appreciation Week, May 20 - May 26, 2018. TJEMS is rallying community support for EMS Appreciation Week and is collaborating with area businesses, pre-schools and other organizations to assist in recognizing and honoring the dedicated service provided by area EMS personnel.

The Thomas Jefferson EMS Council is an integral part of the EMS system whose function is to assess, identify, coordinate, plan and implement an efficient and effective regional EMS delivery system in partnership with the Virginia Office of EMS and the Virginia EMS Advisory Board.
Throughout EMS Appreciation Week area businesses, in partnership with Martha Jefferson and UVA Hospitals, will be stopping by agencies in Albemarle County and the city of Charlottesville to provide appreciation bags for the EMS providers.
